Toyota Sequoia Stops on it's own

It seems some 2003 Toyota Sequoia trucks have a mind of their own. I've talked to a few owners and they report the vehicles will not respond to the throttle pedal and sometimes will slow down almost to a stop while driving down the street. This would be scary as heck!! It happens intermittently and with no warning. What's happening (I think) is that the traction control computer thinks there is a low-traction situation and thus starts intervening. This will cut off throttle control and apply the brakes to re-gain control of wheel speeds. The problem is this is happening on DRY ROADS and IN TRAFFIC. I've had two folks tell me they were almost rear-ended when this happens. See, when the traction control comes on, the brakes lights do not. This is very scary and serious. If this has happened to you, I don't have a fix (sorry) but I'd say talk to Toyota AND the government here: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/index.cfm At this time, Toyota doesnt' think this is serous or dangerous so you need to make your voice heard. Again, I think this in only on the Toyota Sequoia models from 2003.
