what mileage can I expect when pulling a 3000 lb travel trailer?

Well, that's hard to say for sure. Normally when you have a gas burning truck you can expect at least a 25% drop in economy while pulling a 50% load. You could easily expect more. Now, with a diesel it's a different story. You can normally pull 80% load and expect only 10% drop. These figures are for mostly highway, steady state cruising in a moderatly hilly terrain. Factor in lots of city driving or a mountain or two and it can (and will) drop substantially more.
