Audi A6 rear hatch closes

Some 2005 through 2006 Audi A6s have an issue with the rear hatch. The hatch will sometimes close way, way to fast. So fast in fact, that it can whack you in the head. If this is the case, the issue stems from one of the struts loosing pressure and the computer thinks you are manually closing it. Then the clutch releases (thinking you are closing it, remember) and the hatch just falls. The remedy is to take it to your Audi dealer. They will replace the strut and reprogram the computer.
