Impala no start/PassLock issue

The 2000 through 2005 Chevrolet Impalas have an issue with the security system, called PassLock. The system goes on the fritz and will not allow you to start the car on some days, on others it will start but flash the lights, the radio or any other various things while you are driving. Once it's started though, you are safe, I've not heard of one STOP running once it's started. The problem lies with the BCM (Body Control Module) and/or the connector to it. The most common fix is to replace the body control module for well over $1,000. Some have reported the problem persisted after the BCM was replaced. I've sent some BCM's out to independent companies that repair BCM's and have seen good success. I've also done a pass/key bypass that has worked in some cases. My recommendation is that you have the BCM replaced.
