alarm set light

car will start, then shut down. alarm set light is now on. no dash gauges work when alarm set light is on.

    mine did the same thing. It was the camshaft position sensor that I replaced which made all the dash lights work again. I am working on the shut off thing. I think it is a short.

    It sounds like the alarm could be gong bad. Is it aftermarket or factory?
