I just got married and my wife can only drive an automatic car.
I really want to buy the WRX. I see most of the comments on here are from people that drive stick. Does anyone have any thoughts on how good the car is with auto transimission?

I'll give you my $.02. Teach her how to drive one. Subaru's are all pretty easy to master the clutch so it shouldn't be THAT hard. As far as the auto vs. stick on the WRX, I've never driven an auto-equipped WRX so I"m only assuming it'll take away some of the fun factor. Manual transmissions are normally much, much longer lived unless you are trying to be Collin Mcrae every day. Replace the clutch every 100K and the fluid every 50K and the thing should outlast the car. An auto on the other hand has more things to go wrong with it.
