  Overall functionality, or maybe I just can't see myself in a minivan yet.

  I have to vote for the Sienna over the RAVA4. The Sienna has more room for the kids, and that's a priority for me these days!

  Sad thing is, the Sienna is logically far superior to the RAV4, just not in our SUV / image crazed world. You are talking about more interior space, same towing capacity (both can pull 3500lbs with a tow package, but without it the RAV slips to just 2000 but the Sienna stays the same), both can come with AWD (and no, no one "off roads" in the Rav4 so it's pretty useless there), and the Sienna is safer, comes with more standard options, is less likely to roll, and costs the same. I don't know why we (as a culture) fell that the RAV4 even needs to exist. It can't remotely compete with an Minivan except to make people with small ego's feel better about themselves.
