  Both are the top luxury brands, but Maybach just screams ultra luxury and mega wealth in a more contemporary way. It may have a more subtle look, but that's what gives it the bigger statement.

  Both are the top luxury cars you can get. The Rolls has more flash and presence, while the maybach is more of understated authority and luxury for those who don't feel that they need to "show off" with bling. The phantom is something a new york banker or a mogul would arrive in, the maybach on the other hand seems like something the ultra wealthy might have at a new england estate, ready for a trip to a cocktail party.

  Rolls royce is certainly at the top, but maybach is the pinnacle. Both have their place, but my vote goes for Maybach.

  Both brands convey a very prestigious old money effect and have long histories (rolls royce being perhaps slightly longer). Rolls royce has a commanding and bold "I'm the boss" business look, whereas the maybach has a more laid back, luxurious and understated power image. One is Manhattan, the other is Fairfield County. Can't go wrong with either.

  i would have given it to maybach!! but i have a rolls royce...and rear just blows your mind if you have the full spec version..(seat adjuster etc....) ...ALSO maybach 62 is a car only to be driven in!!..whereas a rolls royce can be driven or self driven!!!!
