All I hear about these days is these two vehicles. All things considered, which do you prefer? Why?

I hate the Prius, so I have to go with the Smart car here. Is that the "smartest" choice? Time will tell. I'm hesitant to invest in a hybrid right now with so many new offerings coming in the next few years.

I've driven both of these cars and think the prius is by far the better choice and worth the extra money. The smart is great if you live in a major city and need to find street parking often, but in every other way the prius is superior.

I don't get the SMART car.... and i consider myself smarter than most. What makes the SMART car worth the compromise?
