Hey everyone, I just recently retired and I'm looking for a new sports car to cruise around in for the ladies! Let me know which is the best for that reason.

I retired and bought a GXP! I prefered the Solstice styling. A Great sculptured sportscar..performance..MPG. ExVette guy.

Get the Sol for the Classical styling. True to the British-German sports car genre' of the 50's. The Sky styling is too chopped up and busy for a small car. Esp. the fake hood intakes and side vents. Also, go for the GXP. Well worth the diff.

You must try the turbo version of either. I bought a Solstice because it was unique. Did you post this thread on the SkyRoadster forum. If not is will be bias to Solstice owners

As a recent retiree, I definitely recommend a Solstice GXP. All the performance you need, and styling like a 60's roadster. I love mine.

They are both the same underneath so why pay more just for a different body.

The Sky is very contemporary-looking but to me the Solstice has a more classic look that won't appear dated 5-10 years down the road. Also I'd give the GXP model a good long look, the GXP performs better and gets much better gas mileage than the base Solstice (34+ MPG on a recent road trip). IMHO you can't go wrong with either the Solstice or the Sky, they are both great cars!

The Sol is nicer looking, it's cheaper for essentially the same vehicle.

The Sky is way too busy in it's lines, not appealing to me at all. I agree that the Solstice is a tribute to the 50's classic sport car.
