I want a good, trustworthy, workhorse car and I'm deciding between the corolla, accord and the nissan altima. which is the best?

Corollas have great mpg, cheap, will keep running in any weather. I have had mine for 7 yrs now and still get 28 mpg city and 37/38mpg highway. Love it

I have a 2009 Corolla LE and love it for trips of 1 hour or less. The choice you make should be based on factors such as comfort vs cost if the car will be used for long trips. The seating in the Altima is better. Overall the Corolla will be more economical but can only seat 3 passengers plus the driver. The cost of operation of the Corolla is substantially lower. Our 2008 Altima 2.5SL A/T is getting about 24 mpg while the 2009 Corolla LE A/T is getting 34-36 mpg mixed driving on both.

Corollas are just great cars!! We've had our Corolla for almost fourteen years (145,000 miles) and have very few problems and no major mechanical repairs!!

How can you tell the difference between the 2008 Nissan Altima and the 2008 Honda Accord? They both look the same to me.
