Help me choose which car to buy!

I'm not even sure this comparison makes sense, but I'm looking for a good city car. I'd like to have the prius so I could take it on the highway and feel safe if I wanted, but I really love the parking situation with the smart car. How have others made this decision?

Hey, I HATE the Prius, but if you gotta choose between these given your highway needs, then the Prius is the better choice. The Smart will be underpowered on the highways, I'm afraid...

Prius has more power and more efficient than smart, but if you are on tight budget, smart is a better choice.

I'd go with the Smart Car, its Cheap, reliable that gets you to point A to point B. Save your money for something else. - Just go slow on the highways and in the winter. - I'm thinking to go Smart to.

The Prius costs twice as much, barely gets more gas mileage, is a whole lot less fun to drive, has much worse visibility, traction, and handling. The hybrid drive can also be a nuisance when you have the option of a regular engine.

I think people are voting for the Smart just because they're tired of the Prius. You'll be better off with the Toyota.
