I've graduated and I need a new car!
From fastdriver on May 27, 2008
New college grad as of this week and I'm getting a new car. My parents are giving me some money towards it. I live in boston so I need to know if these cars are any good, especially in the snow. I don't know much about cars so I appreciate your advice!

Its the best you have here although I would strongly consider a mini cooper or a used audi a4 or a3 for the price of the fit

I own a fit, 15mos 47k miles, good for carrying friends and lots of goodies, great for shopping, easy to park, good gas milage, good value for resale, maintenance low, seems a lot of friendly people buy this car, all wave when a fit comes by.

I've got one, 15K so far no problems, not perfect, but nice and fuel effiecient if you can't afford 350-400 hundred a month, I'd go with the accent, due to warranty! Good luck

Best option of out these 3. A bit more expensive, but worth it.

Go for a Yaris but get a manual transmission- use the cost savings for a summer road trip to break in the clutch before driving it in the city. M/T makes it easier to start up after shutting the car off at lights (put it in first when you shut off, then start up and move off without touching the shifter), resulting in near-hybrid MPG for half price.

Fit...flat out ugly, and pricey. Go Civic for similar cash, similar mileage, much roomier and great looks. Accent...they've come a long way. Low initial cost but brutially low resale later. I considered one but no family freindly 4 door Sport model. Yaris...Good initial cost. Fine looking vehicle (I prefer the sedan). Fantastic mileage. Toyota reliable. High Toyota resale value. What's not to like?

I'm a big Honda fan, and the Fit is pretty good. Not terribly exciting, but certainly more so than the other choices.
