Lame: Porsche Design conceives baby clothes

I wish I was making this up. Ok, I will admit that as a toddler I was particularly enamored with a race car driving suit my mother made me. And though it was "just" a Halloween costume, I did wear it more often than not. But Porsche Design is apparently looking to subliminally advertise the "911" brand to a whole new generation of consumers.

Call "911" if you see any toddler wearing this jumpsuit!

From Porsche Design's new "911 To The Core" collection, the baby suit is one of a few items designed to drape every member of a family in some form of Porsche kit.

Porsche says: "Modern generation 911 models have special appeal for drivers thanks to technical innovations befitting the motto 'inner strengths'. Porsche Design Driver's Selection offers [this] collection of clothing and accessories to complement these sports cars. The products meet high standards and stand out thanks to their functionality, high-quality materials, modern designs and strong colours."

Moving down the list: "The black fleece jacket for boys also appeals with its coloured details - decorative blue quilted seams and an elaborate 911 print on the back. The children's T-shirt means the little ones can step out in style as well. Even the tiniest fans can discover the big wide world in a Porsche velour romper suit. The anti-slip 911 print on the feet provides a secure grip."

Well, the company does have experience in helping rear-engined machines maintain traction…if only they had an answer for the emissions of their "tiniest fans".

Thanks to Worldcarfans for highlighting such hilarity.
