4 Things to do With Your Car, Other Than Drive It

With the onset of higher gas prices, people have been trying to trade in their cars, in some cases at pretty poor trade-in values. Have you got a car that you don't want to drive, but can't or don't want to trade it in? Here are some creative suggestions for how your car can work for you, without having to drive it anywhere.
1Workout Tool
Forget the gym. It's summer, and you should be outside, pulling your car. Whoever said that cars reduce the amount of physical exercise people get has clearly never tried to pull theirs. Car pulling is seen in various bizarre sporting events around the globe, but has yet to make it big as a recreational sport. You could be the first! Plus, if you turn out to be good, you can graduate to tractors, where there are organized competitions and associations to join.
2Summer Entertaining
Why not invite people to come over and hang out in, or just outside of your car? Opportunities include setting up a permanent tailgate (instead of spending money, you can make it by charging neighbors for hot dogs), setting up a tarp-lined swimming pool in the bed of your truck, or just having people over to watch the satellite TV you got installed in the backseat so that the kids would stop bothering you.
3Make Furniture
If you love your car too much to say goodbye, consider taking parts of it inside to use as your furniture. An internet search reveals a thriving industry for table stands made from engines, chairs made from carseats, and similar. Your car, too, could have such a distinguished future, but you need to ready to commit. This is not a decision that will be easy to reverse.
4Turn it Into Flowers!
Going green? Why not turn your car into a garden centerpiece? This could be more than a summer project, but when done correctly these can look very pretty. Plus, it'll give the neighbors something to gossip about.
