Industry News: Toyota employee died from working too hard

From LesleyB, Featured Contributor

Yet another reason to buy a hybrid: guilt.

A Japanese labor bureau ruled that one of the lead engineers for the Toyota Camry Hybrid died in 2006 from working too many hours. He averaged 80 hours of overtime per month right before the launch, and died from heart disease while arranging for the shipment of a model to the North American Auto Show in Detroit. That's quite a sacrifice to make for a car, even if it IS a hybrid.
